From:Scouts Canada

Fellow Scouters,

This message is to provide you with an update on registration for 2021. As you know, we had hoped to launch registration for current members on October 9th. We had to delay the launch due to payment processing issues some members were experiencing. We apologize for the inconvenience this technical issue caused and the difficulty in getting the message out to all of you Friday afternoon before the long weekend. We anticipate opening 2021 registration for current members on October 26.

Once registration opens, we will send an email to current members. We will continue to honor a two-week window for current members to reserve their spot with their Groups and will offer a 1-week registration window to free trial participants. As a result, please take note of updated dates below:

  • Oct 26 – Registration opens for current members for January 2021

  • Nov 9 – Registration opens for Free Trial participants for January 2021

  • Nov 16 – Registration opens to the general public for January 2021

You can find recruitment promotional material in English: scouts.ca/resources/brand-centre/recruitment.html or French: scouts.ca/fr/ressources/centre-publicitaire/recrutement.html Please note we have modified our refund policy to allow for refunds until January 31, 2021. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through launching new and innovative ways to support the community’s return to Scouting.

A final note about ScoutCoffee — over 600 Groups have signed-up to take part, and the campaign launched Oct 13th. While some Groups may have experienced a few early hiccups, the issues were resolved promptly and everything is now fully functional. The issues affected a small number of customers, and we are in the process of contacting them directly.

As we all know, Canadian youth need programs like Scouting now more than ever. Thank you for everything you are doing to make Scouting possible for the youth in your community. Together, we can ensure youth continue to build leadership skills and resiliency and are better prepared for success.
